We have just Implemented Drawloop as part of an overall contract management solution. We were considering three vendors who had the system requirements to meet our needs and as each was technically capable of achieving our needs the decision came down to one of support and in this area Drawloop won hands down. In eight years of dealing with vendors this has been the finest experience I have ever had with a vendor. There desire to understand not only what we wanted their piece to do, but what we were trying to accomplish as a whole gave them the ability to suggest and create elegant solutions that fit our needs perfectly. Add to this, knowledgeable and responsive employees that don’t need to be managed or chased, rather they execute the requested solution with amazing speed and accuracy. It is early days in our launch of this solution, but I have already received a lot of positive feedback from around our organization. We offer our Premier and Enterprise customers several deployment options for their dynamic document packages or DDPs. Each option will allow you to automate document creation for your entire organization. All you need is your documents and a web browser.

Recently, we completed development on a Silverlight interface for LOOP Exchange.  During this development, we ran into some interesting issues with some fairly simple solutions.

Woe # 1
The first issue we ran into involves file downloads.  Downloading a file in a browser requires a user to initiate the process.  This is a security precaution and it makes perfect sense.  The problem comes in when you try to have a Silverlight control, when clicked on by a user, initiate a download.  In Firefox, this works without a problem. However, IE decides that this isn’t user initiated, and if you want to allow it, you must specifically okay the action.  If you choose to allow it in IE, this reloads the entire page, bringing you back to the start of what could be a long set of forms.

Press Release - Drawloop Technologies today announced the successful launch of LOOP Exchange with Silverlight, its first offering in support of Microsoft’s new Silverlight technology.

LOOP Exchange with Silverlight provides an on-demand service helping businesses, organizations and individuals automate document creation. You can run all of your documents with the click of a mouse directly on your website using Microsoft Silverlight. LOOP Exchange offers a free Standard edition as well as Premier and Enterprise subscription editions.

New Editions

In addition to our free Standard edition, we now offer expanded services and functionality to Premier and Enterprise users. Some of the features include: (i) Unlimited DDPs, (ii) Private DDPs, (iii) SSO / API Deployment, and (iv) Private-Labeled Mini Site.

Embed

Our new embed with Microsoft Silverlight allows companies to automate document creation anywhere on the Web. With LOOP Exchange, you can customize, control and manage document creation at the enterprise level for all users. You can dynamically customize and package any combination of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files into a single file. This new PDF file can then be delivered through virtually any web service, like electronic signatures. LOOP Exchange with Silverlight makes implementation fast and easy. The automated dynamic document package (DDP) can run from LOOP Exchange, from within your website or from your blog using the embed code.

Mini Site

Premier and Enterprise users can now customize and deploy a private labeled website or “Mini Site” for their DDPs. You can deploy Public, Public - Unlisted and Private DDPs for your entire organization on a custom and password protected site with a unique URL.

We are pleased to announce an improved user interface and additional functionality to LOOP for Salesforce.com. With LOOP, you can convert and combine files to PDF with the option to email or archive in Salesforce.com.

New User Interface

We have created a new interface for LOOP to make it look and feel more like a normal Salesforce page.

Log a File

Users can now create an activity history record that links to a PDF created within LOOP with the simple click of a button. The PDF is stored on Drawloop’s servers and the link in the comments of the activity history allows anyone to download the PDF. The PDF will not count toward your allowed Salesforce storage.

Attach a File

LOOP now offers a quick and easy way to attach a PDF to a Salesforce record. By clicking the “Attach File” button or link, your PDF will be stored as an attachment under the object you clicked LOOP It from.

Add to Salesforce Documents

A PDF created with LOOP can be saved to the Salesforce Documents tab. Click the “Add to SF Documents” button or link, select the folder to save the document to, and the document is stored in Salesforce.

Our embed functionality for LOOP Exchange was added to the Microsoft Silverlight Showcase. In early July, we will be releasing Premier and Enterprise editions of LOOP Exchange which will allow customers to embed DDPs on a custom website or within their own websites through our API.
