    Our on-demand document creation service within Salesforce.com continues to grow. We have added some awesome new features for Dynamic Document Packages (DDPs) with our latest update (LOOP Document Services Version: 3.4.2).

    This post focuses on a new feature we believe will help virtually all Salesforce users. This feature allows a company to automate the creation of custom PowerPoint presentations with any Salesforce.com data. In other words, you can dynamically create custom PowerPoint presentations to update graphs, data and any other items within your PowerPoint file(s).

    Let’s say your company needs to update managers on sales numbers, by region, each week. We have found that many people like to report this data in a PowerPoint presentation to be shared internally or shared via online meetings. Right now, you are probably spending a lot of time manually updating your PowerPoint to prepare for these weekly update meetings. With our latest update, you can automate this entire process leveraging your data that already exists in Salesforce.

    It’s Simple:

    1) Create your Salesforce Reports
    2) Create your DDP (links Salesforce data with PowerPoint)
    3) Click run to create your customized PowerPoint*

    Salesforce Data to PowerPoint*Delivery Options: The customized PowerPoint can be (a) returned as an original PowerPoint file to be emailed, downloaded or attached back to Salesforce or (b) returned as a PDF to be emailed, downloaded or attached back to Salesforce.

    We are excited to announce a free new business service on LOOP Apps – DocuSign Express. DocuSign Express allows anyone to upload any combination of documents on LOOP and send through DocuSign for electronic signature.

    Here’s how it works: (NO registration or account required)

    1) Upload your files on LOOP Apps

    2) Name your new combined file (e.g. Sales Contract)

    3) Click Free ESIGN button

    4) Complete the web form, set your recipient and submit for delivery

    What happens after you submit?

    Your recipient will receive an email to sign your documents. The recipient clicks the review link and then drops their signature on the document to sign. You also have the option to select for you to sign as well. That’s it. You will receive an email copy of the final executed document.

    Web to LeadSalesforce offers its customers a simple and excellent way to capture leads directly from your website. We have found that many Salesforce customers are unaware of the standard web-to-lead functionality that is available to every Salesforce account. As a result, we are spreading the word and educating our customers about this functionality as well as our new DDP delivery option for completing the sales cycle. We have recently added the ability for our customers to have DDPs delivered as part of a web-to-lead (or web-to-anything) business workflow.

    So where does document automation fit into capturing leads from your website?

    By allowing a dynamic document package (DDP) to be created by an event that starts from a customers website, we can allow companies to completely automate everything from emailing customized marketing materials based on the prospect’s interests, to creating a sales contract, to obtaining a new sales quote. Anything is possible.

    Here’s where the DDP fits into the puzzle: You have your web-to-lead form up on your website and you are capturing data for a new lead. This data is automatically populated into your Salesforce Lead object. This is often where things stop. By adding custom document creation to the puzzle, you can now have lead data trigger a workflow that generates the appropriate customized document package and then automatically deliver the document package by email to the new lead via outbound messaging.
